SMSF Engine provides cost-efficient back-office administration of self-managed super funds.

If you are an SMSF Accountant or Financial Planner, this leaves you free to do what you do best – provide personal financial advice, financial product advice, and tax advice based on the financial situation of each SMSF client.

If you are a self-managed superannuation fund trustee and want to control your SMSF costs – both ongoing costs and annual fees – you can be assured of a full service at a reasonable rate.

Features of our SMSF Fees structures

FLAT FEE

We charge a flat fee for services, regardless of the size of the fund, the number of transactions it has during the year, or how many members there are.

ECONOMIES OF SCALE

Economies of scale enable us to maintain low administration fees.

ADMINISTRATIVE CAPACITY

Accountants and advisers can ask us to administer just one of their funds or thousands. Our systems give us the capacity to handle all of them.

SERVICE OPTIONS

We offer the choice of premium daily administration or a simple, low-cost annual service

Individual SMSF trustees can use the Daily Plus package

Services can be accessed as standalone or as additional modules to packages

Bundling of services provides the most cost-effective options

Special Note on Audit Fees

We do not provide financial and compliance audits, but we offer our clients service coverage through our network of independent auditors.

Audit Fees With Administration Packages

We can bundle an SMSF audit fee into the administration price if you are using our Daily, Daily Plus, or Annual SMSF Administration Services. We will use this fee to have your fund audited.

Our streamlined processes and professional service ensure that your fund’s financial statements are available and that you comply with super fund legislation. This reduces the number of audit queries and costs. We pass the cost-benefit to you.

Potential additional costs for audits

The following fees may apply in some financial years:

Auditor Contravention Report (ACR): $385. We will contact you if an ACR is required to be lodged with the Australian Taxation Office.

Specialist guidance for funds with serious compliance issues: Additional fees may apply.

Death Benefits: $220. This fee applies if a fund pays out a death benefit during the year.

Transition Fee: You may pay a once-off transition fee if we must reconstruct historical data (e.g., if a current software file is unavailable). Funds in their first year of operation will not pay this fee.
